There are a number of different roles available depending on the applicant’s individual situation. All driver jobs will require at least 2 weeks notice for any time off in order to cover jobs already booked in and you will need to either have or apply for a Private Hire Taxi Licence through Northumberland County Council. As a self-employed driver you can pay a weekly rental fee for the use of our cars and mini buses (up to 8 passengers). You will be responsible for the fuel only. The vehicle licences, servicing, dispatch system and insurance is all covered in your fee, any takings are yours to keep and it is your responsibility for any tax and national insurance contributions you would need to pay. You will be required to work some weekends and evenings.

As a self-employed driver with your own licenced private hire vehicle, you will pay the weekly fee and we will give you work as and when you are available. Some evenings and weekends would need to be covered but not all.

As a self employed driver you would cover a school contract for 39 weeks of the year in our vehicle, that will cover your weekly rent. Any other work will be your income, fuel is your responsibility however, depending on the length of the run there may be help with your fuel.

As an employed driver for the company, 16, 20, 30 and 40 hour week contracts are available – all of which include holiday entitlement and company pension (if qualifying), these can cover different hours which would be mornings, days, evenings and weekends, overtime will also be available.

As a school contract driver you will drive our passengers to and from school in a safe and timely manner, working 39 weeks of the year with 4 weeks holiday entitlement on top, paid monthly over 12 months.

This is normally a 16 hour weekly contract covering 39 weeks of the year with 4 weeks holiday, pay is made over a 12 month period and is in line with the current minimum wage. In this role you will be there to assist children with disabilities to and from school in a safe and timely manner. You will need to apply for a PTA badge through Northumberland County Council, which includes a DBS application, this will be paid for by the company.

In all of the above roles you will be required to do DBS checks and attain a badge through Northumberland County Council

We look for individuals to cover a varying amount of hours weekly including evenings and weekends, in this role you will be required to take bookings in a professional manor via telephone, texts and emails. This is a fast paced industry and experience is preferred but not essential.
